Digital Wine Labels
Benefits of Going Digital with Prestige Graphics
Studies have shown that up to 90% of consumer wine purchasing decisions are made at the store shelf, making your wine label design a key factor in helping a consumer judge the value of the wine and which brand they will purchase. Prestige Graphics produces the highest quality digital wine labels possible to represent the quality of your wine and distinguish itself on the store shelf.
Prestige Graphics Digital Labels offer 3 distinct advantages
High Quality & Picture Perfect Designs
With our digital processes we can render many intricate designs that are hard to achieve with traditional print methods:
- Digital production gives you tremendous flexibility in design, allowing much versatility - including sequential numbering, alternate label designs, etc…
- Digital allows for very intricate graphics on many different types of textured stocks, an excellent vehicle to showcase new wines.
- Environment: The HP Indigo Digital Presses are gentle to the environment with on-press oil recycling, lower electricity consumption per printed page, long consumables life resulting in reduced waste, ability to print on recycled paper, elimination of make-ready waste (as compared to conventional) and ability to print the precise quantity required.
- With digital production, registration is never an issue. The entire label graphic is imaged onto a print blanket at one time and then transferred to the label stocks.
- No dot gain issues and no need to “trap” colors because our registration is exact.
Prestige Graphics will work with your designers to create efficient and elegant labels with an in-house graphics team that can enhance and refine your existing labels. Complicated computer designs can be better imaged on our state of the art digital print engines than traditional labels.
Create beautiful picture perfect high quality labels with embossing and foil stamping. Prestige Graphics utilizes high-end foil stamping and embossing units to compliment our digital label production equipment. About half of our digital wine labels call for embossing or foil stamping.
We also have the ability to create custom textured label stocks using special dies with our presses.
Fast Turnaround Time
Small to medium quantity wines require high end branding and labeling to be competitive at point of purchase on the shelf next to a long run high end wine. Our digital processes enable you to create high quality labels with an extremely fast turnaround time, making it ideal for short to medium runs and special edition labels. Regardless of the number of images your label uses, how many varietals it has or how many vintages you are making labels for, digital labels can be produced quickly and at an economical cost.
Our in-house experienced production and graphic staffs allow for fast production and delivery with the highest quality control. Working with our craftsmen allows for first samples and color proofs for you to review and enhance colors, graphics and even create multiple versions. Often we can generate proofs and first samples within a day for immediate feedback.
Low Cost
Traditional print processes for fine wine, whether offset or flexo, often require long and expensive set up times. This is acceptable when costs can be amortized over a long run, but this becomes significant however when these costs must be spread over a short run. Digital offset print engines can deliver very high quality labels with out the set up costs and in a very short time frame.
If you need to run multiple short run labels for different varietals and vintages, the setup costs are magnified, burning time and materials. With Prestige Graphics digital print processes your entire short to medium run labels can be run together without any extra cost. We can make changes on the fly without stopping our presses.
With our greater productivity and utilization of our digital presses, we often can be competitive on production runs beyond medium length.
Our Digital Capabilities & Technologies
Prestige Graphics is one of the first printers to offer both leading types of digital labels: Rotary Pressure Sensitive Wine Labels and flat sheet Wet Glue or Glue Applied Wine Labels. To produce these we use two very different state of the art digital print processes in order to produce beautiful, high quality, low-cost digital labels with short lead-times.
2 State of the Art Digital Label Processes:
- Digital Offset Pressure Sensitive Labels – Roll Labels
- Glue Applied or Wet Glue Digital Labels – Flat Sheet Labels
Digital Offset Print Engines for Pressure Sensitive Labels:
We use the latest HP WS print engines to produce rotary pressure-sensitive labels. With our finishing support equipment we can enhance these digital labels with embossing, foil stamping and many special features that help make your labels unique. Gang run vintages, serialize and variable imaging graphics and text are feature benefits that produce measurable cost and quality benefits to your labeling.
Glue Applied Print Engines:
Glue Applied flat sheet labels are produced on two specialized print engines that can deliver beautifully produced, high resolution, picture-like wine labels that can be applied to bottles in a traditional manner.

Our highly trained and skilled operators can turn proofs quickly and manipulate colors & graphics to meet your most demanding requirements. We have the capability to produce glue applied labels in very short time-frames.
Kodak Nexpress gives us increased productivity and flexibility and we pass this along to you with excellent savings. We have an extra imaging unit that can apply a unique high UV like gloss finish to really make your labels stand out.
Our Xerox iGen4 Digital Press offers breakthrough offset and photo image quality. The iGen4 offers a patented density control to eliminate density variations and streaks often found in commercial presses due to high color density designs and graphics. The iGen digitally compensates for any inconsistencies and ensures a consistent image density across the label. This machine produces more accurate color, more stable color over the label run and dead-on Pantone matching.
Digital Environmental Responsibility: All of our digital imaging engines enable us to reduce your environmental impact through designs that limit waste, utilize recycling and require no hazardous chemicals.
